El אל – God
El is Chesed, Abraham, the Divine Man, the Monad.
The word El in Hebrew is attributed to the sephirah Chesed and is the masculine aspect of God. The feminine aspect of אל El is אלה Elah or Eloah. By adding the plural ending ים -im (of Elohim), then we are pronouncing a plural word that embraces “gods and goddesses.” So when we name Elohim Gibor we are saying, behold the male power of the Elohim acting through Geburah. Thus, Elohim Gibor does not mean a “male god” as many translate it; such translation is wrong because Elohim is not a single god, but gods and goddesses.
