Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei

Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei יהוה – God

If you observe the letters, you will find that the letter Iod has the value of 10, Hei 5, Vav 6 and Hei, again, five. By making the addition of these values we have 26 and if we make the addition of 2 and 6, we have the number 8. The 2 serpents of the Caduceus of Mercury form the number 8, which is always the representation of the sign of the infinite. So, in other words, Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei is equal to the infinite.

This is why, when we explain the manifested name of God (יהוה), we always state that Iod is Kether, Hei is Chokmah and Vav is Binah, and the other Hei is the אין סוףAAin Sophor the Unmanifested Absolute Abstract Space, from where these 3 emanated. Before manifestation we find Kether, Chokmah, Binah, within the womb of theאין סוף AAinSoph, forming the unmanifested TTetragrammaton(יהוה); thus infinite is equal to infinite. This is how we have to see it in order to understand how the holy name (יהוה) is related to the whole universe and even to the Abstract Absolute Space; the letter Hei is the uterus that contains AAlephwithin itself and the three primary forces, represented by these three letters, Iod-Hei-Vav. This is why, when we address the manifested name of God, IIod-Havahor Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, kabbalistically speaking, we imagine the sign of the infinite, in order to comprehend it better, because all of the letters of יהוה are reduced to 8.
