The Sum of our Fears

“Fear is the worst enemy of Pistis Sophia. Men kill each other because of fear. Nations arm themselves and go to war because of fear. We mistrust people because of fear. Espionage and perversity exist because of fear. There exists thieves and prostitutes because of the fear of life. The aspirants flee and part from the real Path because of fear. Frontiers, documents and restrictions of all types, which interrupt the journeys of people, are due to fear. Fear is the cause of thousands of personal and collective conflicts.” – Samael Aun Weor, The Gnostic Bible: The Pistis Sophia Unveiled

Fear or Love?

“It is necessary to comprehend that fear destroys sympathy, terminates the generosity of the heart, and annihilates within us the delicious perfume of love. Fear is the root of any corruption, the secret origins of any war; it is mortal venom that degenerates and kills.” – Samael Aun Weor, Fundamentals of Gnostic Education

No Fear

Fear is our worst enemy. The demon of fear does not like us to resolve problems. Are you afraid that you will be thrown out on the street because you do not have money to pay the rent? Okay, might they throw you out? So what? Do you by any chance know what new doors will be opened for you? Intuition knows it and that is why the intuitive person is not afraid. Intuition dissolves problems. Are you afraid of losing your job? Okay, you might lose it, so what? Do you by any chance know what new job there will be for you? Intuition knows it and that is why the intuitive person is not afraid. When the battle of thought ceases, intuition is born and fear ends. Intuition dissolves problems no matter how difficult they may be. —Samael Aun Weor, Revolution of the Dialectic

Attend to a thing at once

The occult student who is in business can put into practice, if he will but realize it, those teachings he receives from his secondary system. Delay regarding a thing we should do at once, and do not do, inflicts the mind and troubles us. Successful business men – and they are philosophers in their own limited range – attend to a thing at once. What the student should learn is: not to fear a thing. The Chinese understand this, and talk a thing over immediately before a misunderstanding can gather headway. The reason for this is that the Secret Enemy can then gain no loop-hole and so bring about a greater disturbance. By such a method the student teaches himself to abolish fear. Chinese Consciousness, The Dayspring of Youth
