Nature goes her way, and all that to us seems an exception is really according to order. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Eliminate Your Desires
Man easily degenerates when in the power of the Secret Enemy; it preys upon the burning furnace of his desires, and when he weakens he is lost and sometimes cannot regain contact with his Innermost for two or three lives wherein he works out the karma of his evil desires.
Our creative forces are made to be preserved and not dissipated; for stored energy is a wealth that can ennoble our characters. Beware the person who fouls his appetite with unhealthy passions and desires; he endangers his own health besides the health of those about him.

Karma
It is insufficient to merely believe. Belief does not create anything. What creates is action. That is the root of the word Karma. Karma means cause and effect, but the root word is Karman which is Sanskrit and it means “to act.” Karma is the law of action and consequence, whether we call ourselves a Gnostic or a Christian or a Buddhist or a Jew or Muslim.
Matthew 5: 21-26
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry (who has resentment, hatred in his heart) against his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, “stubborn,” shall be in danger of the council (of Karma): but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remembered that thy brother (hurt in his self-esteem, pride or vanity, etc.) ought something against thee;
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way (meditate); first be reconciled to thy brother (within your heart in profound meditation), and (comprehend such resentment) then come and offer thy gift.
Agree with thine adversary quickly (within your heart through meditation), whiles thou art in the (initiatic) path with him; lest at any time the adversary (hurt in his self-esteem, pride and vanity) deliver thee to the judge (of Karma, applying the law of and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth), and the judge (of Karma) deliver thee to the (internal) officer (or Internal Kaom), and thou be cast into (the) prison (of retribution of pain).
Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence (from that Kamaduro), till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing (till learn how to act with your Upright Judgment that is an activity of an awakened consciousness).
